Philip Reinagle
Philip Reinagle was an English artist who initially made portraits and later also animal and landscape paintings. He was the son of a musician with Hungarian roots. In 1763 the artist came to London. There he began his studies at the Royal Academy of Arts three years later. He completed his practical training as assistant to the famous Scottish portrait painter at Allan Ramsay .
