Adolph G. Metzner was a pharmacist from Lörrach, Grand Duchy of Baden. Metzner co-founded the Metzner and Hatt Tile Company around 1880 at Hamilton, Ohio, and served as its vice president for more than ten years; in 1884 the company was renamed the Hamilton Tile Works.
