Ferdinand Gueldry
Joseph Ferdinand Gueldry was a French painter. He studied under Jean-Léon Gérôme at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Gueldry debuted his artwork at 20 years old in 1878 at the yearly Paris Salon exhibit, and continued to be featured there regularly until 1933. That same year he was also awarded the Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur. His work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1912 Summer Olympics.
