About This Artwork

Among Jens Adolf Jerichau's celebrated works, "To Siddende Drenge Den Ene Med Hat Ved En Fortojningspael" (1911) offers the defining qualities of Expressionism, rendered with exceptional skill. The work's Beige palette evokes a contemplative mood. Emil Jens Baumann Adolf Jerichau was a Danish sculptor. He belonged to the generation immediately after Bertel Thorvaldsen, for whom he worked briefly in Rome, but gradually moved away from the static. Reproduced with archival precision, this print preserves every detail of the original.
