Henry Dewsbury Alves "Hal" Major, was a New Zealand Anglican clergyman and theologian. He was Principal of Ripon Hall, Oxford from 1919 to 1948: first, when it was Ripon Clergy College in Ripon, Yorkshire (1919), and then as Ripon Hall in Oxford.
