The original is held by the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the file offered here measures 4000 × 2151 px (1.6 MB). You will find it among Drawings and Neoclassicism, in landscape format. Philipp Veit was a German Romantic painter and one of the main exponents of the Nazarene movement. It is to Veit that the credit of having been the first to revive the nearly forgotten technique of fresco painting is due.
