English School refers to the art created in the period between 1750 and 1850 by artists from the region of origin, England. One can recognize the painting style which was modern at that time as well as the predominant pictorial themes. Nevertheless, the works of the English School are as varied as its artists and therefore very versatile and extremely interesting. They show plans, animals, everyday scenes, cities, portraits, landscape painting, detail drawings, comics and much more. The techniques are as varied as the motifs: from engravings to pencil drawings to oil paintings, almost everything is included.
