About this artwork
The Judgment of Solomon is a print, engraving on laid paper by Master FVB, dated c. 1480. The artist is catalogued as German. The source scan comes from the National Gallery of Art, and the file offered here measures 3384 × 4096 px (4.8 MB). It is filed under Prints, in portrait format. Master FVB was an anonymous early Netherlandish engraver. According to one tradition, the artist is identical to Franz von Bocholt, but there seems to be no evidence to support such a claim.
